Colonel Vianesa Vargas, USAF, a student in the War College Class of 2020, which graduated on 5 June 2020.

Lt. Col. Vargas spoke about her thesis, titled “Jim Crow Lives: Army Posts as Racist Symbol.” Lt. Col. Vargas won the General Matthew B. Ridgway Writing Award for her thesis.
