John Buford at Gettysburg

  1. Does anyone still think that O.O. Howard was the one who initiated the idea of setting up troops on cemetery hill and cemetery ridge? It sounds like Buford saw it first and probably told Reynolds, and later, Hancook saw it for himself, and only later did Howard understand its importance.

    1. I think Howard did quite well at Gettysburg, and it was he who established the reserve troops on Cemetery Hill.
