Civil War-Era Politics

Here’s a panel talking about politics in the Antebellum era. This is from a symposium the Gilder Lehrman Center held at Yale University.

The video’s description reads, “Historians discussed Civil War-era politics. They looked at the realignment of political parties, populism, and anti-slavery politics in the 1840s and 1850s leading up to the Civil War.”
