Confederate Flag, Slavery, and Modern Racism

Here’s a discussion held at the National Cathedral regarding their stained glass windows depicting, among other things, the confederate battle flag and whether or not they should be removed.

The video’s description reads, “Historians talked about the Confederate flag’s history in relation to slavery as well as to modern day racism. Washington National Cathedral hosted this discussion in response to the decision to remove depictions of Confederate flags from cathedral windows.”

One of the panelists is historian John Coski, who provides some excellent historical context.
