Cultural Heritage and Confederate Monuments

Here’s Professor Scott Nesbit of the University of Georgia giving a class on Cultural Heritage and Confederate Monuments.

The video’s description reads, “Professor Scott Nesbit talked about historic preservation and the debate over southern cultural heritage sites, such as the tearing down or the relocation of Civil War monuments and markers honoring Confederates. He also described the origins of some of these monuments, which were usually erected due to the efforts of southern women during the Reconstruction era.”

There’s some pretty good information here.
