South Carolina During Reconstruction

Here’s a class at Clemson University led by Professor Paul C. Anderson on Reconstruction in South Carolina.

From the video’s description: “Paul Christopher Anderson talked about how former Confederates in South Carolina viewed Reconstruction in the wake of the Civil War. He said that some white southerners created their own version of what happened during the war, and they justified and even romanticized their defeat and motives for fighting.”
