Guerrilla Warfare in the American Civil War

Here’s Professor Barton Myers of Washington and Lee University speaking on guerrilla warfare in the Civil War. This echoes a number of themes explored during the 2014 Civil War Institute at Gettysburg College.

From the video’s description: “Dr. Barton A. Myers of Washington & Lee University, spoke at this Tredegar Society event about the instances and effects of guerrilla warfare during the Civil War. Myers highlighted the ‘sanctioned’ raiders like John H. Morgan and John S. Mosby as well as the notorious ‘Bloody” Bill Anderson.’ ”
