The Harrisburg museum, which this week came under fire amid the Stephen Reed scandal, is regarded as one of the best facilities in the country among Civil War historians.
While there are “many fine institutions” across the country, the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond, Va., Gettysburg National Military Park and National Civil War Museum are regarded as the top three, according to Pete Carmichael, director of the Civil War Institute in Gettysburg.

What kind of a foolish, antieducation ignoramus would want to get rid of a museum of this caliber? This mayor appears to be doing all he can to let his personal animus toward former Mayor Reed to hurt the city of Harrisburg, its children’s history education, and the general public’s history education.
